I started this blog when i got put on bed rest with the girls, so it pretty much turned into their babybook. I started thinking that if something happened to blogspot and i lost everything what would i do, so i published my blog! I used blurb and It was quite time consuming ( for someone like me who is very picky) but totally worth it in the end and it was very well done by the company. I am very happy with it! I thought it would be neat to get one done each year and something special for Ramsey to have when she is older.
Here she is :)

Back cover dedicated to my Evie girl!

Another thing i received in the mail this week was a flag for Evies gravesite ( i have got to come up with a happier word) My sweet friend Krista sent it to me. She lost her daughter, Ava, last year and she has one for her and changes the picture out frequently.
It makes it a little bit easier to go knowing i will see her smiling face.
I have wanted to publish our blog too - what a wonderful idea! We continue to lift up your sweet family in prayer daily.
ReplyDeleteThe book cover and back is awesome - what a neat idea!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the "flag" too but yes a different word - maybe even "Banner" would be better - to me banner is to celebrate
praying for your sweet family. love the flag...what a precious gift. i have several blog friends that have lost their children...where did your friend get that flag? would love to send one to each of them...

One of my sweet friends calls it her little girl's doorway. I think that is a beautiful picture of the hope we have of entering eternity with Christ!
ReplyDeleteI want to publish my blog also. I love the flag.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to publish your blog! It looks amazing! and what a beautiful flag!
ReplyDeleteThe flag is a beautiful idea.
ReplyDeleteThere is someone who calls her daughter's grave site her "garden." I wanted to share that.
ReplyDeleteI heard of your blog through a mutal friend and i am just so heartbroken by your loss. I know words cannot express how your family must feel right now. Hopefully each day gets easier for you even though it will never be the same at least she is in heaven and you have your own personal angel. She is soo beautiful!
ReplyDeletei think "garden" sounds sweet also, and maybe "resting place" or "her playground" ??
I think of you often and have been checking in on the blog since hearing about your loss. A friend of mine lost a child and they refer to her gravesite as her garden if you are wanting a different name.
ReplyDeleteTruly such a beautiful family and special keepsakes. Sending prayers up everyday from Arkansas.
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog since I read about your little Evie going to be with Jesus. I have been praying for your family and for your continued healing. Your blog book looks like it turned out great and will be such a special treasure for your family. That flag is just perfect and such a great idea! On another note, I agree that the word "gravesite" is never a fun one to say or think about. When my great-grandmother passed away, we had many small children in attendance. When we went to the cemetery the day after the funeral, one of my little cousins said that the mound of dirt looked like a pillow. So now, we say we are going to Grannie's pillow!
ReplyDeleteStill thinking of y'all - take care.
ReplyDeleteThe blog book is so special.
My brother died in infancy - my parents always referred to the gravesite as his "spot"
sweet ka ~ pe ~ sha ~ you are a very strong lady. im so sorry for your loss ~ and of course that angel is lookin' at you & very proudly saying ~ that my mommy! keep calling jesus!
ReplyDeleteI still pray for you every single day. May God's peace and comfort be with you today.
ReplyDeleteI think of your family often and pray for you. I love the flag and would love to know how to get one for our little Hadley. It's beautiful and it is so wonderful to see her smiling face. I would like to publish our blog too. I am glad to hear that you were happy with yours. I wish I had great words of wisdom to share but the truth is that I am not much farther than you down this path of grieving. Just hold onto your memories, your family and Jesus.
ReplyDeleteI pray every day for God to give you strength. I just started a ministry on my blog called A Meal in the Mail. I feature families on the side bar of my blog for 2 weeks who are going through a difficult trial, and readers can then send them a meal in the mail through a restaurant/Visa gift card, as well as encouragement and love. If you would be interested in your sweet family being featured, starting Feb. 15th, please let me know. You can get in touch with me at bigfatmama@satx.rr.com.

I think of your family often.

Gravesite is just a hard word to use. Garden is what Katie Rowe uses to refer to Reese. Check out her blog- www.therowefam.blogspot.com - she inspires me just like you do.
ReplyDeleteWe use 'resting place', it sounds much more peaceful. I haven't posted before, but we are always praying for Ramsey, you and your husband.
