just call me charlotte

If you have seen Sex and the City 2 then you know what i am talking about when i say i completely feel like Charlotte today! If you haven't seen it, pretty much her 2 year old cries all the time and Charlotte has a breakdown and puts herself in a closet and just cries. I am about to do the same.
Ramsey will.not.stop.crying! Everything makes her mad and frustrates her. She only wants to be held and has a fit if i put her down. Umm last time i checked she was only 15 mths. I didnt think the terrible twos started this early but this is my first time so what do i know.
Her hands are constantly in her mouth and when we went to the doctor he said her molars were swolen and to expect those to come soon. Maybe that is her problem. She is fine and just plays and reads her books then all of a sudden she gets real upset.
My breaking point occurred at the water park where we went to meet friends. We were doing okay then we went to have a snack. Evie sat in my lap so Ramsey got jealous and started to sit in my lap trying to push Evie out of the way. I told her no and sat her on my other leg. I gave her a cracker and she hit at it, but had a fit to try to get evie's cracker. I redirected her and gave her the same thing evie had, she hit at it again and just kept crying. Everything i tried to give her that i thought she wanted , she would swat at it and cry. SERIOUSLY..what is the deal?!
We do some sign language but i don't know how to teach her to sign..i am in a bad mood and i don't want anything you give me but i am just going to cry...if anyone knows you can let me know.
I let her have the fit , ignore and/or redirect her but when i have another one the same age that i have to take care of i end up putting up my white flag!
I certainly know i am not the only one going through this. Pretty much every child at the water park was having a fit at some point. I am just having the hardest time trying to deal with her and pay attention to Evie and love on her too. I need more arms or something! I feel like some days go by and i didn't even get to give Evie a hug and it just makes me sad.
Anyway just needed to vent and if anyone has any tips they are appreciated!

  1. Hi, I don't know if you remember me or not but I had left you a comment back when you were pregnant. I live in Collierville and have 18 month old twin girls. Anyway, my Lexi has been like that today and I have to figure it is one of her molars that is so close to cutting. I gave her some motrin (Kroger brand because of the recall) and she is so much happier. Plus popsicles work wonders too. I give them the Slow Melt Mini Popsicles and they love them. Good luck!

  2. AWE :( One day Tyson was really bad like that, only does that when he's cutting a tooth... and he kept doing the same thing: fine one minute, crying the next and would hit at whatever I tried to give him. I ended up crying also and I literally said to him (while crying) "go cry to your Daddy!!". Which is not possible since he's deployed :'( I was going to say the same thing as Cecilia though, Tyson likes ice and he'll hold it but we use those little "infant feeder" things that are marketed for baby teethers for frozen fruit; like a mesh popsicle holder. Hang in there, molars and canines are BAD but Tyson usually is only like that for a couple or three days in a row and then gets better until the next bad tooth. It's okay to cry too!!!

  3. Ramsey and Emmy must have been talking to each other because she has been so fussy and clingy lately...she freaks out if I walk out of the room or put her down when she doesn't want down. I assumed it may be teeth- she is definitely due to cut some new ones:( Hope these two get better for Evie and Cade's sake!

  4. aylin jewel has been doing that a lot lately. Most of her tantrums hit around and after dinner. we thought it was her teeth at first, but it has lasted about a month :) She has also started biting when she is mad or frustrated!
