I LOVE YOU

Hope everyone had a good Valentines Day. We enjoyed a picnic lunch at Evies Garden, that is what several people suggested and i like that. When we got there someone had already brought her some balloons so that was very sweet to see. I love that people go and visit with Evie. Mom found the perfect froggy balloon, Evie LOVED her froggy wubanub and she actually lost it a few nights before she passed away then a few weeks ago we found froggy under sisters bed. That was a very special moment, i will treasure that thing forever!

Mom also got one that says l love you, and Ramsey picked that one to send to sissy.

My mom and Rob and Amber stayed with Ramsey and Jonathan and i went to Buckleys for dinner. It was nice to go to dinner just the two of us, we haven't done that in a long time. We talked about Evie most of the time and how we still just cant believe it. We ache for her all the time. Ramsey has been extra fussy lately, i am sure she is getting into the terrible twos but at the same time how am i supposed to know if she is aching for her sister too? She can't sit at dinner and tell us her thoughts but she has to be heartbroken. Her world was completely turned upside down. All she knows about life is Evie, they have literally been with each other their whole lives, even when i was pregnant with them they were together. I just wish i knew what she was feeling. Is she confused? is she angry? Does she really know her sister isn't coming back? We watched her on the monitor the other night and she sleeps with the pillow that our friend gave us and the other night she was holding it saying its okay sissy and rubbing it with her hand then said night night sissy and covered her with her blanket, it broke my heart. I just don't know what to do for her, i hope i am not missing something or doing anything wrong. If anyone has a thought, please share :)

The weather has been perfect the past few days and its just going to bet better! I am ready for Spring! We had school today then meet Hayley, Charlie, Garland, Erica and Hudson at the park. Ramsey has grown up so much, she can do everything by herself! She loves the slide!

The Dog P.A.R.K

I write it that way because if you say it Maddie will go nutso, so we always have to spell it out. She will be onto us one day. It has been way to cold obviously to go to the park but it is Maddies favorite spot and since she has had a rough couple weeks we figured she needed a good surprise. The water was freezing but she ran right into it! crazy dog!

Then we had to push the stroller. When we were at Lebonheur a while back my dad let Ramsey push the wheelchair down the hallway and he held her so she could reach it so now she says "hold me push stroller"....look who gave in...

We are really enjoying this beautiful weather this week!

My cousin Kennedy came to Memphis for a basketball tournament with her middle school team. They were runners up in their county tournament and champions in their area .

They won the first game earlier this week but lost last night.

They did great and it was fun to watch her play!

Snow Day V

It has snowed so much this year so far!

Crazy global warming...

She is still hanging in there. We were worried about her last night she was shaking really bad and seemed to be in pain but we gave her some more fluids and she seemed to be much better this morning. Maybe she played to hard in the snow?

Hope everyone had a fun snow day! Even though i think it was very frustrating for my friends who had to head home from work in it Wednesday night, the roads were terrible!!

Two Months

I cant believe Evie has been gone for two months now. I thought the world was supposed to stop but then again each day is one day closer to being with her for eternity! I can't wait.
The snow is coming down pretty good right now, its so pretty. I know a lot of people are over it, but i enjoy it and now when it snows i will think of Evie.
I had bible study this morning and i am always very encouraged when i leave. We talked about the story when Jesus walked on water. To refresh your memory, click here.

We talked about what it meant to "step out of the boat" and what would it take for you to do it. How would you have reacted if you were in the disciples shoes, what sometimes keeps you "in the boat"?
One thing that spoke to me the most is when Peter got scared because the waves and wind were rough, he lost his trust in Jesus and started to sink. Peter called out to Jesus for help and my version says "immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him". I know most times and from the past two months i question whether God is there for me or not. This scripture tells me how simple it is, all you have to do is ask for him and he will immediately grab you and help you.
There have been several times where i thought he was letting me drown, or i felt all alone. But scriptures prove that that isn't the case. He might not be doing what you think he should be doing, but he truly has my best interests at heart.
Our last discussion was, what keeps you in the boat, fear of failure or inadequacy, you get busy or you are uncertain of the response you will get. I know from experience that i feel like once i am comfortable or get "settled in my boat" God literally throws me out and forces me to trust him. Sounds kind of funny but i think back to when we were pregnant the first time and lost our baby at 10 weeks. When we got pregnant with Catherine i was scared the whole time until we got to 10 weeks and i could breath, thinking we were good to go and then two weeks later, we find out Catherine has non functioning kidneys. I delivered her at 21 weeks on April 6, 2008. Then we were pregnant with the girls and i got past 10 weeks then i got past finding out if they had kidneys, then week 20 hit and i thought ok we are good to go and then..bed rest and emergency surgery and the fear of losing two more little girls. Finally, the girls were here and i could breath. We got through the Nicu and the girls were growing and becoming toddlers and everything was great and then..Evie is taken from us. If we have any more kids i keep thinking i am never going to get to a point where i can relax.

But we can't live that way, there is always going to be something that we are scared and worried about, there will always be obstacles in our life and heartache in our lives but while we are in the rough waters of life we should affirm to ourselves that God is trustworthy and will immediately offer his hand to us , pulling us to safety, not letting us drown.

Birthday Photographer?

Recently we have had several birthday parties for some sweet friends and i have had the honor of taking some pics. I still have so much to learn and my pictures are by no means fabulous but i enjoy doing it and when it is for friends i couldnt be happier.

Our first birthday this month was for Sebastian Meduri. He is the son of my sweet friend Audra, we have been friends since high school. She now lives in Boston and we miss her so much but we had a wonderful time together when they were here! His first Birthday had a nautical theme and her mom and mother in law did not spare on the details!

Our second birthday this month was for Garland White. Her mom Hayley and i have been friends since high school as well, she was my maid of honor and we have been through it all together! It has been so fun raising our kids together!

Now its time to get ready for the snowstorm they are saying is coming tomorrow!! My brother in law Michael LOVES snow to say the least. He is one of the girls biggest fans and he pointed out that on January 9th we had snow and tomorrow is February 9th. Each month after Evie passed away on December 9th, she has given her uncle Michael snow :) I think it makes him very happy!

Little Hoot

I will be having a Little Hoot clothing show with Erica Miller!!

My friend Colleen and her mom Nancy started Little Hoot and have such cute things.

Nancy is actually the one making a quilt for us with all of Evies monogrammed clothes and blankets. I am so excited about that and i know it will be something very special for us to have!
