Because of you, we granted our second wish!!!
The Lord put the Dismukes in our lives about 6 years ago. He knew what our futures would hold and how connected we would be. Its crazy to see it all come to this point.
My first year of teaching preschool, I had a sweet girl Madison in my class. Something drew me to her. I enjoyed her so much and loved having her in my class. We started going to the church we go to now and I found out they went there as well so we saw them a lot. 2 years later her sister Lindsey got to be in my class and i was so excited! I was pregnant with Evie and Ramsey at the same time as their mom Ashley. I got put on bed rest December of that year so i didn't get to teach Lindsey for long but Ashley, the girls and baby Ingram would come visit me on bed rest! I didn't go back to teaching but always saw their family at church and Evie, Ramsey and Ingram got to be in the same class at church.
One of the sweetest stories is when we were in Destin at Baytowne and I looked down and a little boy was trying to hug Evie and Evie was pushing him away. All of a sudden we realized it was Ingram! They just happened to be there at the same time! This was to be our last beach trip with Evie, so that is grained into my memory.
In April of this year Ingram was diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma. You can follow his journey here. We found out they talked with Make-A-Wish and we knew we wanted iRun4Evie to grant Ingram's wish and we got that honor tonight!
On our way to Chikfila Evie let us know she was with us.
We actually watched both planes make the cross as we drove there.
