Our little girls are already 3 months old!
I am thinking they probably weigh around 8 1/2-9 pds. We don't go to the doctor again for a few more weeks. They are still wearing some 5-8 pds gerber onesies, but mostly in newborn or 0-3 month clothes.
I thought we would move up to 1 diapers by now but they still go up to their chests. They were out of pamper newborns the other day so i got huggies and i noticed that they seem a little bigger than pampers and they fit great so i am going to use those for a little while.
They are both starting to laugh, smile and "talk" alot which has been so much fun.
They watch me when i walk around and follow toys really well. They look around at everything and think the fans are funny.
Ramsey is holding her head up really well but Evie still doesn't have it down yet. They kick their legs all the time and when i lay them over their boppies they push up off the floor and almost go over the side. I really have to be paying attention! :)
Ramsey rolled over the other day, I am sure on accident but her reaction was priceless, she looked at me like i did it to her. haha I am sure i will be getting that look from her alot.
They are sleeping 8 hours most nights. The other day they went down at 10 and i had to wake them up at 8:30! I feed them and they go back down for about 4 hours depending on what time they woke up and what time we need to leave to go workout.
They have moved up to 5 ozs every 4 hours
They ladies that keep them when i workout told me that the girls love when all the older boys and girls talk to them, they stare at them and smile. They are so sweet there and i am so glad i have the opportunity to do that. When i walk in the gym the little girls say " the twins are here, the twins are here" too cute. I have to watch out though because when i picked them up on Tuesday there were 2 year old adorable twin boys with them. uhoh.... dont tell jonathan ;)
Until about a month ago all they did was eat, sleep every four hours but now that they stay awake a lot longer, i have been trying to figure out some sort of routine. Obviously every day is different and with two i really have to be flexible. I have to remember that they are two different babies and what one wants to do the other might not. One morning Ramsey didn't sleep at all in between a feeding, she just sat in her swing and wanted to play, Evie slept the whole time in hers
Our mornings are usually crazy because when they get up we head to the gym. Sometimes i feed them before we leave, they feed them there also if need be. We come home and they usually sleep or play in their bouncy seats until it is time to eat again. We eat, play on the floor do a little tummy time and when they start getting tired or fussy i put them in their beds for their afternoon nap around 1-2 and sleep until their next feeding. They have been really good about going down without fussing. I am not doing anything thing specific like baby wise or anything but i love taking opinions and ideas from all over and seeing what works. If they do get fussy i go in their pat them and give them their pacifier if they want it and then walk out. Somedays i have to do this one or two times and others i don't at all. One day its one baby, one day its another and sometimes it is both.
The early evenings are usually the hardest, i am ready for jonathan to get home and they are usually experiencing the "witching" hour. We go for a walk sometimes, or drive around, you start they car and they go silent. Last night we went to oak court mall and walked around. It has been too hot outside.
We started feeding them closer together at night and i think it has helped. When they start sleeping longer we will probably put them down earlier, but i don't want to get up at 3 or 4 and we are night owls anyway so they usually go to sleep around 10
We don't have a specific nighttime routine yet. We don't give them a bath every night yet. We do put their pjs on, feed them, rock and then put them down. They do better at night with going straight to sleep. I think they are starting to learn that it is nighttime when its dark. It also helps to have four hands :)
I think that is all that is new with they girls. The pictures on the previous post were taken yesterday so that is what they are looking like these days :) Everybody still say Ramsey looks just like me and Evie looks just like Jonathan. What do yall think?
