Christmas Cards

I posted a while back that i couldn't decide what i wanted to do for Christmas cards. I went to my friend Beth's website and found a Christmas birth announcement that said Sleep in Heavenly Peace on it and immediately thought of Evie. I sent a crazy amount of thoughts and pictures and asked her to come up with something and it was perfect when she sent it to me. I cried immediately when i saw it. Mainly that we had to do our christmas cards this way and Evie really isn't here but i loved that she is on the card, i really wanted her to be and Beth did a great job and included her in a very special way.

...and just because i can't get over how cute Rams looks in her matilda Jane clothes...here she is again :) They gave me this adorable dress also, so now we can match! ha

Humbled

So the other day there was a package addressed to me and Ramsey. Jonathan brought it in and i thought it was from him so I never looked to see who it was from but Jonathan opened it and it was a huge box full of Matilda Jane clothes!!

I was so confused, i knew i hadn't ordered anything recently but there was a note on top.

SERIOUSLY?!

I immediately started crying and sat there and opened like 20 individually wrapped articles of clothing for me and Ramsey, i think with my mouth wide open the whole time. I couldn't believe it. I don't know who told this amazing company our story and i don't know what made them think to do this for us but i was completely humbled by it. I pray that God blesses whomever told them our story and all the Matilda Jane girls of course! I think this shows just what an amazing company they are. There clothes are so unique and adorable and they even sent us some matching things! We are going to be way to cute!

Ramsey has worn something every day since we got it and she looks so cute in it!

I can not thank this company enough for what they did.

Happy Birthday!

Jonathan is 32 today!

We celebrated with his family last night and then today Ramsey decided he wanted donuts for breakfast so we went there before he went to work, then he met us for peek at our little baby, who is doing great. We are far enough along that they will no longer be checking my cervix length! yay! That was a good birthday gift :)

Then after two doctors appointments we went for a low key dinner tonight because Ramsey has croup and i have a double ear infection :( poor jonathan, two sick girls for his birthday!

Last night was too much fun for these two....

Ramsey usually cries when people sing Happy Birthday, its the weirdest thing. She also doesn't like when you pray before dinner but loves singing God our Father at school. I can't seem to figure her out :) However she was all about singing to daddy. She sung it all night long! She even wanted to wear the party hat!

Seeing BB King live is on Jonathan's bucket list and i finally was able to get us tickets for his birthday so he is pumped about doing that!

Well i finally have my phone again!

I have been shopping for new stuff for the house, actually just dreaming about things i want but can't afford... I think this would work great in my bedroom :)

I think i found some curtain fabric for the baby if its a boy. Not sure about bedding yet.

I am using the girls green rocker so i have to stick with that color scheme so i thought the green blue and brown would be pretty and i am really into these fabrics that are three dimensional,the brown is raised velvet.

I love the colors in it and it looks good with the chair also.

Ramsey is really into makeup these days. She sits with me and puts my makeup on her.

We went to a Living Nativity at the church i grew up at and Ramsey loved all the animals!

I accidently told her this was a baby camel until we got up to it and i noticed it was in fact a llama..

Ramsey loves playing Barbie Fashionista on my phone, this is her favorite outfit for her barbie to wear and it lets you take pictures and i have probably 30 of these i need to delete on my phone, ha

Luke came over to my parents to play the other day while Claire went to the doctor so my mom let them decorate the little tree in her dining room.

They have so much fun together :)

Seems like forever ago they were this small!

The flowers at church on Sunday were done in memory of Evie! They were very pretty!

We took them to her garden after church and she sent us another cross right above our heads! This one was so pretty with the sun right in the middle!

Jonathan played paintball with some friends Saturday, they look tough don't they? :)

He also found some sweet sunglasses at goodwill.... full coverage for extra eye protection...ha

Christmas Spirit

We had our Bunco Christmas Party at my house on Tuesday and it was just what i needed to get my Christmas Spirits lifted. We had a wonderful time visiting, eating and playing Dirty Santa.

Of course we wore our tackiest Christmas best :)

One Year

Friday marked one year since we lost Evie. It was a very hard day for us. I wasn't sure how i would feel the day of. The night before was even hard. I just kept thinking a year ago at this very moment i said goodnight to Evie for the last time. Ramsey actually had a fever Thursday night, so of course we were on edge. I slept ok but woke up sad. It just hit me, i hadn't been thinking about anything, i just opened my eyes and couldn't stop crying. It was hard to not relive the day. Eventhough it was mostly a blur, it still just kept replaying over and over in my head. The fact that it had actual been one year was such a shock to me.

Everyone kept asking what we wanted to do which was so thoughtful. I had no idea though. Jonathan and i decided to spend it just the three of us. I finally made myself get out of bed and we went to chickfila for breakfast (my comfort food) and then ran some errands and went to Evie's Garden. We took her the little Christmas tree we bought and spent several hours out there. There were several special things out there that friends and family had brought and several people showed up while we were there to bring Evie flowers and presents. We spent the rest of the day at home and we watched The Princess and the Frog like 3 times i think, ha. Then the day was over. It came and went so fast just like this year had.

I am still at a loss, i can't seem to get my spirits lifted, my heart has literally been hurting for three days now and i can't breath. I honestly don't have anything profound to say except that i miss Evie so very much. We have been flooded with thoughtful friends, emails, texts, cards and flowers. We are so grateful for each and everything you guys have done.

We do feel loved and we do feel your prayers so thank you for that.
