Adopted

These were in my mailbox this morning..
I am so blessed the have these four ladies in my life. How wonderful it was to get this surprise this morning. I can't believe it has been three years since Catherine Grace was born.
I heard the song Save a Place for Me shortly after Catherine Grace was born and every time i heard it i thought of her. This song has even more meaning now.

My aunt sent my mom the book Heaven is for Real. I will say that i have no idea if it is really for real. Some of you might not believe it or not but either way i have found comfort in it. I am sure some of you have read it or at least heard of it. There is a section in the book that talks about Colton meeting his sister in heaven. His parents had miscarried and did not know whether their baby was a boy or girl. Same situation with our first pregnancy in august of '07, we miscarried around 10 weeks.
I can only imagine some of the things he says and i think of Evie doing it to, like when she got to Heaven and met Catherine Grace and her other brother/sister. It give me peace to know when he said "She's okay Mommy. God adopted her". Then he started to describe what she looked like and how when he got there she ran up to him and wouldn't stop hugging him. I guess that is why i picture; all three of them playing, all adopted by the one perfect Father and then the day will come that i will see them again and they will all run to me and hug me. What a beautiful picture in my mind, it certainly helps me get through each day, whether that is exactly how it is or not, i can still picture it that way.

Spring is in the air

Kennedy or as Ramsey likes to call her...Kenanadee and Jane came in town for some of her spring break and we loved having them in town. Ramsey is a big fan of kennedy and she loved playing with her. We took them to My Big Back Yard on Thursday before they went home.
All the flowers are in full bloom, they are so pretty!

Thanks for coming to play with us!

A Heavy Load

My aunt sent me this and i thought it was a great message me and for all of us!

The task ahead of us is never as great as the Power behind us.
Brenda was almost halfway to the top of the tremendous granite cliff. She was standing on a ledge where she was taking a breather during this, her first rock climb. As she rested there, the safety rope snapped against her eye and knocked out her contact lens. 'Great', she thought. 'Here I am on a rock ledge, hundreds of feet from the bottom and hundreds of feet to the top of this cliff, and now my sight is blurry.' She looked and looked, hoping that somehow it had landed on the ledge. But it just wasn't there. She felt the panic rising in her, so she began praying. She prayed for calm, and she prayed that she might find her contact lens. When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but it was not to be found. Although she was calm now that she was at the top, she was saddened because she could not clearly see across the range of mountains. She thought of the bible verse 'The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth.'She thought, 'Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me.'Later, when they had hiked down the trail to the bottom of the cliff they met another party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, 'Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?'Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across a twig on the face of the rock, carrying it! The story doesn't end there. Brenda's father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a cartoon of an ant lugging that contact lens with the caption,

'Lord, I don't know why you want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what you want me to do; I'll carry it for you.'

I think it would do all of us some good to say, 'God, I don't know why you want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if you want me to carry it, I will.' God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
Yes, I do love GOD. He is my source of existence and my Savior. He keeps me functioning each and every day. Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him...I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Phil. 4:13)

Tea for Two

*Warning*
Long post with way to many pictures:)
We had a tea party themed birthday party for Ramsey. I had the idea a while back when we went to the farm and Michael found an old tea set for the girls to play with. I thought it was cute since they were turning two and there was two of them :) After Evie passed away, the thought of their birthday made me ache but then i was looking at the pictures of them at the farm and Jonathan found several pictures of just Evie sitting enjoying her "tea party". I thought it would be a great way to honor her and have her pictures at the party, so we decided to still do it.
The Inivitation
Front Door
The Front Entry
Teapot cookie favors
Food Table
All of the food was Alice in Wonderland themed.
My favorite were the Chesire Cat tails, you can see in the pic above.
We covered the pretzels in caramel then we dipped them in pink chocolate and then put purple srinkles on top like stripes! Yummy!
Small table centerpieces
Drink Table
I put Butterflies in different places for Evie
There was one on top of the cake also.
The weather was yucky and rainy during the party so we couldn't do a lot of things that were planned but we were able to put the bouncer in the garage and that is always a favorite!
We were blessed to have several friends come in town from all over to support us this wkd and celebrate Evie and Ramsey.
"Peppy" was a huge help while she was here, we love having her in town!!
She's my moms sister if you cant't tell :)
Birthday hugs from her "boyfriend"...haha
Happy Birthday to you!
We love you Ramsey!
We asked everyone to bring a flower for Evie and then we were going to take them to her garden after the party.
Happy 2nd Birthday Evie!!
We love you so much and miss you more and more everyday.
The Invitations, eat me and drink me stickers, the banner, food labels and cupcake toppers which i stuck in the teacups were all from The TomKat Studio
The cake was made by Ambers friend Shannon, i was so excited about it! I sent her the email with the stuff from TomKat and she matched everything perfectly!
Several people asked about the whicker teapot and I found that at Pottery Barn Outlet
The teacups and picture frames were from Hobbly Lobby
The Teapot cookies were from Whimsey Cookie Co.

All Dogs go to Heaven..

...at least i think they do:)
We had to put sweet Maddie to sleep this morning. She was getting worse and worse by the day. For those that don't know she went into kidney failure the week after Evie passed away. We did fluid therapy and she perked back up some but this past week she stopped eating and got sick throughout the day and night. She was probably 40 pounds max. We struggled with the decision to put her to sleep, but to see her suffering was worse. Jonathan and i buried her this morning with a lot of tears involved but we know it was for the best.
Some of my favorite pictures
She kept me company while i was on bedrest and always wanted to lay on my belly :)
Missing my girls today
