...at least i think they do:)
We had to put sweet Maddie to sleep this morning. She was getting worse and worse by the day. For those that don't know she went into kidney failure the week after Evie passed away. We did fluid therapy and she perked back up some but this past week she stopped eating and got sick throughout the day and night. She was probably 40 pounds max. We struggled with the decision to put her to sleep, but to see her suffering was worse. Jonathan and i buried her this morning with a lot of tears involved but we know it was for the best.
Some of my favorite pictures

She kept me company while i was on bedrest and always wanted to lay on my belly :)

Missing my girls today
you have been through so much....i'm praying for you. hugs, jenny

Many hugs to you, Jonathan, and Ramsey. Praying for y'all.
ReplyDeleteoh, I am so very sorry. In my "heaven" book by randy Alcorn, it says that our pets are in Heaven...and so are dinosaurs...the lions will sleep with the lambs I guess. :) Evie has a family member with her....I know that probably does not bring comfort, but really, there is nothing i can say that will...I am sorry you have to go through so much hurt. Praying for you guys.
ReplyDelete"In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind." Job 12:10
ReplyDeleteOur dogs were our "first babies" and I am sure it was the same for you. They become such a huge part of your family; Your sweet pup is in Heaven snuggling with your sweet Evie. Thinking about you!
ReplyDeleteOh. I am so sorry. I read this last night and have been thinking about it since then. I still can't think of anything profound to say at all. My heart just keeps breaking for you guys. I am, again, inspired by your attitude and ability to still see some joy in life, though. You are really a rare person, and Maddie's life was so full of love with all of you.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry. :( This breaks my heart.
ReplyDeleteI thought you might enjoy this:
ReplyDeleteJust this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
