Christmas Break

We have enjoyed Christmas break. 

 Jonathan has been off and we love having him home during the day.
We have done lots of shopping, relaxing, movie watching and playing

One of my favorite things we have done is play grocery store. 

Ramsey wanted to play, so i helped her set up in our living room.

I was laughing so hard because she pretended her room was the parking lot and i kept asking when she was coming to shop and she said " i'm busy getting my things together, im in the parking lot"

We have enjoyed daddy being home!

We have been doing A LOT of dress up and i mean A LOT. 

She is constantly changing into a different princess dress or wedding dress!

Makeover at Josephs, where I got my makeup done for our wedding. 

She told the lady she wanted to try some lip gloss and the lady told her to hop in the chair and she would give her a mini makeover. She loved it!

Everywhere we go she wants us to try on all the shoes!

I let Ramsey go to target in her cinderella dress....first time for everything

 We have had a lot of sweet sister time!

Nala is in heat and she is certainly acting like a girl if you know what i mean...she curls up in a ball and just softly whimpers. She has been so pitiful. 

Even Jonathan and i have had some time to chill. 

We have been staying up late watching movies and relaxing.

Week of Wishes

Make-A-Wish had their week of wishes at Saddle Creek this week. We were asked to do a radio interview to tell our story. Jonathan did most of the talking and did a great job. I was so proud of him! 

They also had Macy's Santa come and visit. He was the real deal!

Pinterest Fail

So i am sure you have seen the really cute pictures of the babies all wrapped in white christmas lights and they are so precious...

Well i attempted that and this is what we got

Precious Evie

It has been 2 years since Evie was with us. I will say this year has been the hardest. My "numbness" has worn off and reality has completely set in. We had so many distractions last year with moving,  being pregnant, Reese being born and then it hit me like a ton of bricks.
You have probably noticed I don't talk a lot on the blog anymore. I am struggling so much more with losing Evie. I am doing more counseling and using other ways to help me deal with this. I have decided to be more private in this area and no longer use the blog as my outlet. I have decided to go back to the reason I started the blog and that is for a baby/life book for the girls to have when they are older and for me to remember what we did.
I have thought about not blogging anymore all together. I don't care to do it most days and when i do have time, i just want to get it done to have it in the book. So this blog will be more on the surface and just about what we are doing.  Please feel free to still read if you like but don't expect too much from me your mainly going to be looking at pictures :)

We originally wanted to just spend the day as a family and go to Evie's garden and decorate a Christmas Tree for her. My best friend Hayley said they would love to do that with us if we would like so I asked Ramsey what she wanted. If she said no we wouldn't do it. She got really excited and she said i want my friends there and then she said, Addie, Ella, Lola, Charlie, Hudson, Riley and Garland. So that is exactly who we asked to come.

They were so sweet and it was perfect. 

They did such a wonderful job and having all of Ramsey's best friends and their parents there helped me so much. Ramsey was so happy and that helped so much too, she's amazing.

 I am so thankful God placed these sweet children in Ramsey's life. 

They had a great time but most important, Ramsey did. 

Ramsey can get very shy and overwhelmed. I think back to her 2nd birthday. I selfishly wanted all our friends to be there because I needed them there. We were so blessed to have so many people come to her party and show so much love and support. However, Ramsey shut down completely and i don't think she had a good time at all. I realized that and decided that it really needs to be about her and I need to consider her feelings. She was going through so much, obviously but I didn't even realize because she couldn't talk or express her self and I was grieving and in a different state as well. Now that she can express herself and talk, I see what an impact all of this has had on her. 

I want her to start having ideas of her own on what she wants to do to remember Evie.

Decorating the tree was a perfect idea and it made her really happy.

Nashville

We decided to take Ramsey to Nashville to have a special weekend with just her and us. One of the last pictures we have of Evie is of her dancing to the Rockettes on television. When i saw they were going to be at the Grand Ole Opry I thought it would be a special thing to do with Ramsey on the 2 year mark of Evie's passing.

We checked into the Opryland Hotel and Ramsey loved it. 

She stood on the little balcony and watched everyone walking around. It was crazy busy!

 Then we walked to the Opry for the show.

On the advertisement, the Rockettes are wearing white costumes. In the performance they kept changing into different costumes of course, so she didn't believe they were really them and kept asking where they were. She is so literal! ha

After the show we went to the mall and Ramsey took center stage while we waited to eat dinner.

We got back to the hotel and had a dress rehearsal for ICE!

Saturday morning we had breakfast and walked around the hotel

Its beautiful during Christmas!

Then we bundled up and went to ICE!

Amazing!

We headed home Saturday afternoon. 

It was a great time just the three of us. 

I think Ramsey really enjoyed being with just us
