Happy Birthday Maddie

Maddie would have been 10 years old today! We miss our little companion!

Hopefully her and Evie are celebrating big today :)

I love looking back at pictures, i think we have more pics of Maddie than anything throughout the years. I always talk about what a bond her and Evie had but until i look back through pics i noticed literally every picture has Evie and Maddie in it together.

I gave her to Jonathan for Christmas and made him do a scavenger hunt and he eventually found her under the christmas tree :)

She always laid on my belly when i was on bedrest.

I would have been so lonely without her all day!

Happy Birthday!

What happened to her?

Ramsey finally asked the question i have been dreading. "What happened to her?"

She went with me to the pharmacist and we passed Memorial Park. Every time we pass it she knows Sissy's garden is there and she said she wanted to go see it. I told her we would on our way home. Evie's granite was just put down last week, which is another story. It took over 10 months to get and i guess for me it makes it more real to see it down, but thats just part of it. It is very nice and has our verse on it and has Catherines name and birthdate as well. I was reading it to Ramsey and showing her everything. She loves pointing out letters so she layed there and we did that for a while. Then Evie's flag started blowing in the wind so she stood up and wanted to hug it and give her kisses. Then she said it, "What happened to her?" She asks where she is and stuff like that but nothing that specific.

I was a little taken back, i didn't even know she knew to ask that or what that even meant and i started to tear up and just said what i usually say, that she was with Jesus in heaven. I wanted to elaborate but i wasn't exactly sure what to say. I didn't want to say anything to worry or upset her. Then she asked me again and then when i responded, she could tell i was crying and when i do she gets upset and cries too, which in turn makes me cry more an so on. She just cries and says momma, momma over and over. I don't know why it upsets her so much when i cry. She layed her head on my shoulder and i told her it was ok to cry and momma cries when she is sad and you can to. She just kept crying and saying momma. I decided i had to pull it together so she would be ok. She went back to Evies flag and was messing with her flowers and just kept asking me what happened to her. I could tell my response wasn't good enough and it probably wouldn't be for a 2 year old but i was nervous telling her she died cause then she wouldn't understand that. I worried telling her she got really sick and had to go be with Jesus cause then i thought she would get upset if she got sick or jonathan and i got sick. We were told not to tell her Jesus took her because then that would scare her. So needless to say i was at a loss on what to say. I completely failed. I am hoping to sit her down and i should probably be honest with her but i just don't know what to say exactly. I know anything i say will be confusing and i just have to pray God gives me the correct words to say and hopefully another opportunity to share with her.

Park*Panties*Painting

We have had a busy Saturday!

We ventured out to the Shelby Farms Greenway, got somewhat lost in the woods and an hour later made it back to our car :)

She wanted to look for Bambi, no luck today, maybe next time Ramsey.

After Ramseys nap she helped us paint her Brother/Sisters changing table. We attempted to "antique" it but i don't know exactly what i am doing. She loved painting and kept saying "i make it look Bootiful".

I decided i guess it was time to start potty training...what was i thinking? just kidding, she has done well. I have asked her for a while now if she wanted to potty in the big girl potty and she was never interested so i didn't push it. I was going to do the stay at home all day for a week then decided that sounded miserable! It's hard when she goes to school two days a week and then i do MOPS/ Bible study the other day. I have decided when we are home she can wear panties and then one of these days i will let her venture into public with panties. She had an accident at mom and dads the other day but at home she does great and has really started to enjoy it. I guess i need to buckle down and get serious!

TigerBears

My dad and Jonathan got tiger basketball season tickets this year and Ramsey went with them to the opening game last night! The girls always had so much fun at the games.

When Ramsey got home she kept asking "where the pom pom girls go?"

She also calls them the tigerbears because she has been to the grizzlies and tiger games and they both play at the forum i guess she decided to combine them,ha!

Playing Hooky

Ramsey was super sleepy this morning from all the festivities so i let her sleep in and we didn't go to school. We walked to the park went to lunch and enjoyed hanging out with each other.

She has become such a good little climber and of course has to do it all by herself

After a lovely meltdown because she didn't want to get out of the swings and go home, we strolled home and she fell asleep in her stroller :) Isn't it funny how having a good time can turn into complete chaos in a matter of seconds with a 2 year old? To bad i didn't get a picture of that, that would be fun to show her when she is older, ha!

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun night of trick or treating with all of Ramseys friends! We had 23 kids and their parents come over and go with us! It was crazy but fun. All the kids looked so cute in their costumes!

Belle was still asleep when all her friends got here so it threw me off a bit but she was ready to get dressed and get candy! Jonathan put on the beast costume and she was not a fan, she kept telling him to take it off! ha
