We had a busy weekend but my favorite part was sending a little girl to Disney World in Evie's honor! We can not thank all of you enough for donating to Make a Wish in memory of Evie. You raised enough to send sweet Camryn a 5 year old girl with a life threatening ilness to Disney and we had the honor of being there and presenting it to her and her family.
We met a Big Back Yard and she had a scavenger hunt finding the Disney princesses. Jonathan and i were two of the spots so i don't have many pictures of that but she was running all over the place and had a blast!
Her last Princess picture to find was Belle and she ran up the red carpet and found Belle and she told her she was going to Disney.

We were blessed to be able to send this sweet girl to her favorite place. We had a trip to disney planned for the girls during Christmas and our sweet Evie didn't get to go with us so sending a girl to Disney World is the wish we knew we wanted to grant.
The day was very bittersweet and we are praying this sweet girl gets to go to Disney many more times. I don't know how many times she said " all my dreams came true today"! ha She was so full of life. It amazes me what joy she had, you would have had no idea she was sick.
You will be able to donate to support people running in the St. Jude Marathon/Half Marathon for Team Evie Grace. We will also be selling shirts. Anyone running or going to support or just wanting a Team Evie shirt can purchase one. We will post that information when it is ready.

AMAZING !!!!! The shots of sweet Camryns face were PRICELESS !!! Lynny & I were hanging out when she got her casting call to be belle.:) What a wonderful gift to have been a part of, what a wonderful gift to have given, what a wonderful way to honor your sweet Evie !!!!!

ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog since. Friend told me about your precious Evie's death at Christmas time. I have prayed for your family,especially Ramsey since then. I am a pediatric oncology nurse. Having donations made in your beautiful girls name to make a wish is a selfless and glorious thing to do and I wanted to say thank you. Because I know what a difference these wishes make in the life and spirit of a sick child. How they ease the burden for parents. How they honor a sibling left behind necessarily but all too often. You are wonderful and generous people. Catherine and Evie are so very proud of you. God bless you both, precious Ramsey and the little one on the way to help heal your broken nearest.
