New York New York
I took Jonathan to the Big Apple for his big day!
We had an awesome trip and to top it off a crazy blizzard but we made it home safely! We left Memphis on Friday and flew nonstop which was so nice. I am so used to having to go to hotlanta before going anywhere! I have a crazy amount of pics but i will try to post only a few...ha
We arrived in NYC and checked into our beautiful hotel
had champagne waiting on us from his brother Michael
and an awesome view!
Headed to Serenidpity3 for dinner.
Where the menus were rather large...
Sat next to Kara Diogaurdi ( American Idol judge)
Had delicious hamburgers and yummy frozen Hot Chocolate (their specialty)
Bought our first of many Subway passes and actually figured out how to get to Times Square! pat on the back...
Walked around Times Square...
It was midnight and look at this place!
we thought it was cold this night...little did we know what the next day would bring!
Saturday morning ( jonathans atucal Bday)
We started out with breakfast at Cafe Lalo
(the Cafe where Meg Ryan waits for Tom hanks in you've got mail)
Such a cute place and the food was great
Then off to figure out the Subway again....failed miserably this time...cursed the city and finally just got a taxi to take us to the new Yankee Stadium!
Had a very cool tour of the stadium, locker room and dugout. If you are a baseball person in general then you have to see Yankee Stadium. It has so much history.
side note...Jonathan is a Mets fan but he thoroughly enjoyed it!
Retired numbers of Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth, Joe Dimaggio and Mickey Mantle
My hand was the same size as Babe Ruth....I think my fingers made it that way, his palm was definently bigger!
Tried to head back to the Brooklyn Bridge but cursed the iphone this time on giving us wrong directions to the subway. 1 hour later we found it... right next to the stadium....
Got a little scared on the subway from Brooklyn back to Manhattan...
By this point the snow was coming down pretty hard so we walked around Rockefellar Center until our reservations for dinner.
It was crazy busy, FREEZING ( 20 Degrees) and oh so pretty!
The line to Ice Skate was so long so we didn't have time for that but we did see someone get engaged and everyone cheered, It was really sweet!
Headed back to the hotel to warm up a little and change clothes for dinner
Then headed to Sushi Samba
the big 3 0!!
BLIZZARD!
They gave Jonathan free dessert!
Happy Birthday to you!!!
We decided to go back to Rockefeller Center to see about ice skating, not knowing where we were going because the snow was sideways and you couldnt look up while you walked..i needed snow goggles!
babies are awake.....will write more later:)
What an awesome trip!
