Getting Cozy

We have enjoyed our first week home!

 Everly is a sweet baby and her sisters can't get enough! 

 Nala is so curious and checks on her every time she makes a noise. 

 Reese doesn't start school until September so I have put her to work as my little helper. She asks every second if she can hold her and gives her a thousand kisses and hugs a day!

 She loves kicking her feet out! ha

Jonathan was able to have the week off so that has been very nice and our families have been so helpful taking care of the big girls since I can't lift or drive.

We had a rough first few nights. She had a hard time going back to sleep after she nursed.
She has finally started giving us four hour stretches. I have been making a point to wake her up every 2-3 hours during the day and that has helped a lot.

Ramsey starts 1st Grade!!

If having a baby wasn't already enough excitement, Ramsey started school while we were still in the hospital! I missed taking her and getting her ready but Jonathan did a great job. She showered at the hospital on Sunday night because she wanted me to dry and straighten her hair! ha

She is excited about first grade and has a great teacher! We met her teacher last week and Ramsey said, she has pretty hair, pretty lipstick and pretty clothes! ha

 She is in class with one of her sweet friends, Riley!!

I think Reese will miss her sissy !!

Meet Everly!!

We welcomed our 5th beautiful baby girl, Everly James Harrison, on August 7th !!

I went into the doctor because the bottoms of my feet and hands would not stop itching! Sounds silly but it was driving me crazy so i ended up calling my doctor just to make sure it wasn't something to be concerned about. They had me come in immediately to have it checked. This is the main symptom of something called Cholestasis. This can be very serious in pregnancy so my doctor admitted me to labor and delivery for some blood work and to monitor Everly. They could not induce until my blood work came back, if it was positive for Cholestasis we would do the csection right away. This disease has caused stillbirth after 37 weeks. We didn't want to take any chances so I was admitted for the weekend so they could monitor me and Everly until the results came back. 

 God was certainly in control and right after i was admitted,  I started having contractions. I have had them off and on for a few weeks and was already dilated to 3 cm but these were way more intense. Around 11:15 I was at 5 cm so off to csection we went! It went so fast and Everly was born at 11:43 p.m. weighing 6 pds 3 ozs and 17 1/2 inches

She was considered premature because she was just short of 37 weeks. They decided to take her to the NICU because of a sound she was making when she took breaths. She was down there for an hour but did not have to be admitted! We were so thankful!

The brought her back up to us around 2 in the morning.

The next morning, Ramsey and Reese were so excited to hear there sister was here!!

 The girls love that Everly holds their finger with her hand :)

 A few weeks ago Ramsey and some friends decided to predict when Everly would be here. 

Garland was our winner!!

 Being a big sister is exhausting!

 Reese wanted to help so I decided to try to pump her a little bottle. 

It wasn't much but she was so excited and Everly sucked it down!
